Movie Night at The Collider: Climate Stories

As a part of the North Carolina Science Festival, the UNC Institute for the Environment will present Movie Night at The Collider. A selection of short movies from Climate Stories NC will be shared by David Salvesen, producer and research associate with the UNC Institute for the Environment.

Doors open at 6:30pm and the presentation begins at 7:00pm. Oskar Blues Brewery beer and other refreshments will be provided. FREE admission with suggested donation of $10 per individual; $20 per family.

Climate Stories NC is a series of mini-documentaries capturing the voices of ordinary North Carolinians—farmers, hunters, beekeepers, fishermen, apple growers and others whose lives have been affected by changes in the climate. The project is funded by a grant from Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation and managed by the Institute for the Environment (IE) at UNC-Chapel Hill. David Salvesen, associate and director of the Sustainable Triangle Field Site at the UNC Institute for the Environment, will lead a discussion on his captivating approach to storytelling.
